Callahan Kent

Director | Goalies

Callahan brings a high-level playing and coaching background to Kent Family Lacrosse, with a passion for developing not just great lacrosse players—but complete athletes. A former standout at Vanderbilt University, Callahan currently serves as an assistant coach at Boston College, where she works closely with the goalkeeping unit.

Callahan’s coaching philosophy centers on developing the whole athlete, with an emphasis on building a strong foundation in the fundamentals: hand eye coordination, stickwork, footwork, communication, ball handling, and overall game IQ. She believes that mastering these basics is the key to long-term growth, and her sessions are built around high-energy, detail-oriented drills that push athletes to elevate every aspect of their game.

At the heart of her approach are three core principles:

  • Teamwork and Accountability – Creating a culture of trust, unselfish play, and communication.

  • Mental Toughness and Growth Mindset – Encouraging players to embrace mistakes, stay confident, and keep pushing.

  • Resilience and Leadership – Building confident competitors who can succeed on and off the field.

“What excites me most,” Callahan says, “is seeing players step outside their comfort zones—those moments when a skill finally clicks, when they make a save they’ve struggled with, or when their communication transforms a defensive unit. Watching that confidence grow is what coaching is all about.”

Athletes who train with Callahan can expect to leave camp with:

  • Sharper skills and a stronger lacrosse IQ

  • A more confident, competitive mindset

  • A deeper love for the game—and a drive to keep improving

  • Life lessons in hard work, discipline, and being a great teammate
